Learn how to turn raw data into compelling presentations

If the thought of preparing a presentation or report based on numbers brings you out in a cold sweat, then this masterclass could be for you. Using Excel and Powerpoint, you'll go step-by-step through the process of turning raw data into a clear and compelling presentation that gets your message across.

You'll leave the course with a comprehensive set of tips and techniques for producing slide decks or written reports – whether they're for customers, clients or others within your organisation.

Course description

This one-day course will go step-by-step through the process of creating a dazzling presentation or report based on example data sets. Topics covered include:

  • Principles of data visualisation (including good, bad and ugly examples)
  • Identifying the story you want to tell
  • Different data visualisation formats (and when to use them)
  • Basic software tools (Powerpoint, Excel, Prezi, Datawrapper)
  • Design tricks and tips (for non-designers)

This course is for you if...

You have to create presentations or reports for your job, but feel you lack some of the skills or experience to do this confidently. This course is aimed at beginners – so you will be comfortable using a computer, but may be less so using Excel or Powerpoint.

We also offer bespoke corporate Data Visualisation training for businesses – click here for more information.
